As the field of game development expands and more and more people learn to make games, many developers are seeking out fresh adventures in an attempt to broaden their horizons and better understand the value of their work in the wider world.
Indie game maker Greg Lobanov (Coin Crypt) is one such adventurer, and as part of the Indie Soapbox at GDC 2015’s Indie Summit he spoke passionately (and very quickly) about his bike ride across America and how it inspired him to think differently about life — and the video games he will spend his life making.
